Coup de coeur de la semaine

Hello PAPMers,

I apologize for being so late with the publication of the Coup de Coeur of last week, but well, better late than never. We've been so busy preparing things for the festivities and for PAPM too ! A surprise is on its way for you. To make you wait, here are the 'coup de coeur' of the admins and officers of the group.

Always striving to get amazing pictures, Sandeep Doorgah's efforts have not been unnoticed by us. We have decided to recognize his big effort to obtain such a great picture of a fly on a flower. Having a 18-55mm, the standard lens for his camera, did not hinder him from getting this fantastic photograph ! Kudos to you, Sandeep !

Our second pick for the coup de coeur is Doorgesh Mungur. When is not at wedding shooting fabulous pictures of great moments of a couple's lives, he is shooting models in the mud or in the water. And we have got to say, the results are awesome ! Well done to you and Pratyush Nobeen.

Our last coup de coeur of last week was the picture of Hemraj Vishal Soomoe. You might sometimes wonder why some people say Mauritius is like a paradise... Well other than the white sandy beaches, the inlands are also full of beautiful things like this stunning picture of twilight near Tamarin. Congratulations to you Hemraj and also to Hysteria Prods who appears on the picture.

Congratulations for your works, guys !
Keep it up !

Coup de coeur de la semaine

Hello folks,

We might be a few days late with the posts on the blog but hey, cheer up, here come the new Coup de Coeur of the admins and officers of PAPM !

When a picture captivates you, makes you question yourself and eventually troubles your mind, you sometimes say this picture has got something that speaks to you ! Well, Julien Gonnin posted this week on the group a very beautiful picture which I categorized as "Psychedelic" for its wonderful colors and that music beat it seems to create in my mind. Stirring, powerful and unusual, that picture deserved to be honored and what better way of expressing our appreciation than by putting it as Coup de Coeur !

Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder and what I see now on the picture of Michael Boldrini is the beauty of the eyes of a fabulous woman. I have never for my part seen such a fine photograph of a veiled woman. What Michael captured here shows that the eyes are truly a powerful tool which can set many men's heart racing. Very traditional, yet beautiful, Michael's picture wooed our hearts.

There is an old saying in French that says: "La simplicité fait bien les choses". This week on the Facebook page of PAPM, it has been demonstrated to us by three beautiful pictures posted by 3 members.

First of all, Michael Roussel, you deserved too for your active participation and continuous show of stunning imageries, to be among the Coup de Coeur. We loved that magnificent daisy you choose to picture in all its simplicity. Bravo Michael !

The second image that embodies really well the French saying I quoted up above, is a picture of a bee and a flower. Well done to Yat Rdrs who captured this "hover fly" as called by one member. Delicate and sweet, this image shows the beauty of what is in nature. Continue to try hard at getting even better pictures.

Last but not least, is the image of someone whose efforts we would like to praise. New among the PAPM family, I think this mention to his picture and name on the blog would be a most warm welcome. Congratulations to Asvin Jacob.

Picture of the week - Mo Pena Nom

This week, some of you may have notice that our Macro and Close-up Photography Resource Person was the picture of the week. He bears no name but still his pictures bear the signature of a passionate and lover of bokeh. Dreamy, colorful, yet mystic at times are the pictures he shares with us. His name you may not know, but let's just say that Mo Pena Nom was last week's Photo of the Week. It seems that between the flowers of his garden and him lies a story not yet told in its entirety.

Well done !
